New Turbine Can Withstand a Cyclone

5 August, 2008

Aerotrope has designed a 30m blade for the new HP 1MW turbine prototype. French wind-turbine manufacturer Vergnet requested the expertise of Aerotrope's design engineers to develop a specialized blade for use in remote regions. Vergnet, France's only manufacturer of wind turbines, has earned its place as the leader in mid-range wind-power generation on the FARWIND market with its original technology of twin-bladed aerogenerators, which can be tilted down in less than one hour in the event of a cyclonic alert.
